About Cibi
The visionary CIBI collection has won a part in the world cinema history. Designed by renowned Italian designer Cini Boeri, this collection features an X-shaped bottleneck that not only gives movement but also allows for an easy and firm grip.
During the spring of 1981, an unknown customer visited the “Magic Crystal by Arnolfo di Cambio” store in Beverly Hills and purchased several glasses from the CIBI collection. The following year the Ridley Scott’s visionary masterpiece film Blade Runner was released in movie theaters. The androids’ hunter Deckard, played by Harrison Ford, sips his Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky in the Cibi Old Fashioned Glass designed by Cini Boeri.
Born in Milan and graduated from the University Politecnico in 1951, Cini Boeri was immediately noticed by her teacher Giò Ponti who encouraged her to paint. Later Cini Boeri began to collaborate with Marco Zanuso, becoming one of the most important Italian designers of the second half of the 20th century.
